Recorded on Thursday 5 November 2020, as part of the Royal Society of Medicine's COVID-19 Series.

This episode focused on the ICU experience of the second wave, looking at what hospitals are seeing right now, and what has changed from the first wave of the pandemic. Chaired by Professor Nik Patel, consultant cardiologist at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and chair of the RSM’s Academic Board, we were joined by Dr Alison Pittard OBE, Dean of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and Dr Gary Masterson, Past-President of the Intensive Care Society.

The RSM COVID-19 Series is for health professionals, by health professionals; a series of talks dedicated to give healthcare workers on the frontline, regular and easy-to-access updates from healthcare leaders on COVID-19.
